Professor Li Yan wins Silver Prize of the Thailand InventorĄ¯s Day

From February 2-5, the Thailand Inventor’s Day 2015 was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Professor Li Yan from BIGC won the Silver Prize for her “Value-added External Glazing Printing Device”.     

The Thailand Inventor’s Day was first organized in 1994 by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), a national body under the direct command of the Prime Minister of Thailand.      
It functions to comment on national development, to promote new inventions / innovations, and to strengthen international coordination and cooperation. Exhibited at the Thailand Inventor’s Day 2015 were 144 inventions from 14 countries and regions.

“Value-added External Glazing Printing Device” also won Special Award from Korea Invention News, a co-organizer of the Thailand Inventor’s Day 2015.

Professor Li Yan now serves as director of Invention Method Branch, China Association of Inventions and she has been designated as certified Triz Level III by International Triz Society. “Value-added External Glazing Printing Device” is funded by the Project “Design and Development of Value-added External Glazing Printing Device” of Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the Project “Commercialization of Research Findings - Engineering Research Center – Printing Equipment” of Beijing Municipal Commission of Education. The team members of the project include Professor Wang Yiming, 4 associate professors Zhao Jibin, Yuan Yingcai, Shi Xiangdong, and Wu Shuqin, and 3 lecturers Chai Chengwen, Bai Jianjun, and Lijing.
